HyGear uses steam reforming technology in combination with PSA (Pressure Swing Adsorption)
technology in its Hydrogen Generation Systems. This combination of technologies is used to
convert fossil fuels as well as renewable fuels to a high purity hydrogen stream in a very
efficient and cost-effective way.
HyGear's Hydrogen Generation Systems typically consist of:
- a fuel preparation module
- a fuel processing reactor (or: steam reformer)
- a pressure swing adsorption module
- a control box
Working on the edge of new technologies it often happens that certain development projects
lead to spin-off products such as (pre-)reformers for fuel cell application and on-site gas
separators for several applications.
