Gas to liquid skids

Many small-scale gas streams can become valuable sources of energy when converted into liquid fuels. Examples are waste streams from digesters or landfills, flare gas from up-stream oil production, or small natural gas fields. However, the systems required usually operate on a large scale, rendering localized, on-site fuel production uneconomical.

GTL skid

As an alternative, HyGear is leading a development program to design a small, dedicated GTL skid for crude production from a variety of gaseous sources. The skid will be able to generate synthetic liquid fuels on-site, using gaseous inlet streams. This not only offers industries an opportunity to turn waste streams into transportable crude or even diesel fuel, but also hands a perfect solution to gas companies struggling to overcome anti-flaring legislation.

PSA technology

HyGear’s mini GTL skids use our proven PSA technology for gas cleaning and HGS technology for synthesis gas production, combining these with newly developed Fischer-Tropsch liquefaction modules for crude production.

Key benefits

  • Value from waste streams
  • Solution for anti-flaring legislation
