25. January 2007 - HyGear in jury of the MKB Energie Idee competition
On the 25th of January 2007 the national competition Small and Medium Enterprise Energy Idea (in Dutch: MKB Energie Idee), organized by SenterNovem, was held in Tiel. Marinus van Driel (Managing Director Finance and Operations of HyGear) was invited as member of the jury because of his background of successfully starting up a high tech new energy company. The competition was won by SolarOil Systems who plans to retrofit existing cars so that they can run on vegetable oils. More information can be found on
