1. February 2008 - HyGear incorporates affiliate HyGear Fuel Cell Systems

The last couple of years Hygear has seen a growing interest of the market for hydrogen generation solutions for fuel cell applications. In the meantime the HGS product series with standard products HGS-V (5 Nm³/h) and HGS-L (50 Nm³/h) already introduced in the market has been extended with a 100 Nm³/h version (HGS-C) of which the first product is now running in our test field, outside of our factory. HyGear therefore founded an affiliate called HyGear Fuel Cell Systems B.V. in which all fuel cell related products and services are concentrated. The inauguration of the affiliate has been propelled by a launching order for a larger size reforming system for fuel cell application in a niche market, about which due to secrecy agreements no more details can be shared. The scope of HyGear Fuel Cell Systems B.V. reaches from micro-fuel processors up to fuel processors of several hundreds kWe equivalent, whilst the fuel range covers natural gas, (synthetic) liquid fuels (such as FT-diesel, DME, kerosene, etc.) and green fuels, such as biogas, ethanol and methanol. When required HyGear can also assist in system integration activities. Using HyGear’s existing know-how, components and products as a starting point leads to a short lead time and corresponding costs when developing a fuel processing solution for fuel cell applications
